Point and Shoot part 2

In this photo we have the original to the right and the photoshopped version to the right. I see foot steps walking out of this splatted what you could possible assume maybe paint or blood but I wont say. You also see someone onto the side like as if there waiting for the other person who has left the trail of blood to be done with what ever work there doing. To me this shoot was done purposely because you can tell by the photographer (ME) that this was planned out due to the layout of the area. It was shot out doors or well to put it simpler it was shot out of the ceramic room and we happen to find these foot steps outside and a splatted area and I though hmm maybe I can use this in a cool way somehow. I like the setting of the area and these were my intentions of actually using this setting/location. What I dont like about this picture is the fact there's no props or anything although you can assume something must of happened because of the trail of blood. This was the point and shoot project we did and I learned a lot more about what could be shoot in school instead of always assuming I can go out of school to shoot better pictures.

Point and Shoot Project :D

So apparently in class we had a discussion that taking pictures in school have gotten boring. But then yesterday, Ms. Miles made a point that we are not looking around enough or Broadening our point of view with in the setting in school. To the left we have this picture out side of school and to the right it we have it in school. It is true we have more a variety to choose around when we shoot out of school but when you look at it from Ms. Miles point of view with looking at backgrounds and shapes and colors it actually changed how much we can look at what is around us. The right was shoot near the bathrooms by the Senior Circle and our model Nick was in a tree reaching out, then I had Ms. Miles come in to reach out to him to change the outline of the whole look of the picture. Originally her arm wasnt there but with her arm being there it changed drastically. I like the lighting it brings a good mood especially with the setting that this picture was taken place. Especially the left picture, taken outside of Penn Elem. going up the hill. Both of these pictures had really good elements within them such as lighting and contrast. I guess one of the things I didnt like about the picture in the left was probably the tree branches randomly comming out in the right side of the picture like in the sky, the right picture I didnt like how the hands didnt line up well, I guess I should have taken the pictures better more and such or so.

Natural Lighting/ Portrait retake 2

Model Lance Mom and Baby Sister Jenna <3

So I decided to take two different portrait pictures but between the two I have to say this one was better than the first, well Lighting wise anyways and it look more natural I guess with this one the composition is blahh but over all I have to say this Kind of had a depth of field because behind Jenna is a little blurry and the focus is the mom. This came out better than I expected and as ive stated, this looks really natural like your just seeing the moment in front of you and you so happen to capture the moment of a mother holding her child close to her as the baby takes a rest.

Natural Lighting / Portrait retake Part 1

Model: Lance Sutherby

So I know this is kind of posed but I just wanted to attempt this project with a out door look and out of the many pictures ive taken with my model this is one of my favorite. I likt the composition in this because everything isnt so flat, Model sticks out and the angle isnt so bad but in general its a good picture. What I didnt like about this picture is the angle could of probably looked better if I moved more down and angled it so it doesnt look weird with the wood behind him blocking the sight of the trees. Although this is also kind of posed, what I originally wanted to do is take a picture of him not noticing when he got on the ledge so it was a unexpected picture but to me it seems fine. Location is in front of a church in Chula vista an we happen to just be strolling around and I wanted to take pictures with his camera.

Portrait Report part 2

Model: Robbie Kincade

So part 2 of this project was to take a picture of some one in a natural lighting area. So its 8 o clock in the morning and my model happens to be sleeping still in bed and his window is fully open and its very bright, I couldnt help but realize that this was something I could use for this assignment. At first I didnt plan out taking this photo till I came in his room and realized that this project needed to be done, Now see comparing this natural non posed picture to a picture that is posed really shows a difference. I think a fun thing about this assignment was the fact that my model wasnt known he was going to be used, I think if my model knew about him being photographed I think he would of accidently posed on accident because he wouldnt know what he would be doing and would assume he has to pose. I kind of wished instead of a morning light it was more like broad light or daylight so lighting would be a bit better.

Portrat report part 1

So this assignment we had to read and as well as take a picture of some one in natural lighting. Part 1 will be about my reflection about the article we read about in photography. A photographer by the name Manjari Sharma helps explain the difference between the topics of a Portrait picture and a Snapshot picture. she says "The difference between a snapshot and a portrait cannot be said in one word, because there are many differences. For one, a snapshot is an "in the moment thing". A portrait on the other hand is much more sensual, and much more connected." To me that comes of as with a snapshot it could come cross as a natural looking picture no pose just caught in the moment, the normal moments you see when your just going along with your day. Then theirs the "Portrait" look when you pose and you change your natural looks into a more posed look. Ironically sometimes a natural look may look posed and planned out but naturally in my opinion it seems like some times people just naturally pose when working or just being to themselves.

Time Line

This project was fairly decent, Meaning there was a lot to do but at the same time not as fun as much as the other projects that were given to us in the past. Although having to work with other people was Interesting since having to spend time together as well as coming together with ideas on what to do. Working with Rianna and Joanna was easy on most parts, Our time line was about what was going on each decade starting from 1910-2010. I learned a lot of new things during this assignment such as what was the first colored film/paper came out as well as hitory facts I never learned about in class either cause I forgotten it or Never was told. It was hard to cooperate with Joanna and Riannah because Communication wasnt well planned out or I didnt hear much about what was supposed to be done. I wished I could of contributed more ideas with this project but in the end it seems that the prokect came out well.
